INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Schools here in central Indiana responded quickly to the news of the Connecticut shooting.
They want to re-assure parents about the precautions taken at their schools.
Parents are also concerned on how to discuss such incidents with their children.
Kimble Richardson is a licensed Mental Health Counselor at St. Vincent Stress Center.
He says that parents should limit their children's access to the media coverage of the shooting.
Parents do need to answer their child's questions, but you also need to re-assure them that you are going to do everything that you can to help keep them safe.
