INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A judge ruled Friday that a doctor convicted of battery in connection with inappropriate contact with his patients can remain free on bond while he appeals his conviction.
Dr. Segun Rasaki was sentenced Monday to four months in prison after a judge found him guilty of battery and sexual battery in September. The case stems from complaints by several female patients regarding inappropriate conversations or contact of a sexual nature. Rasaki denied the allegations.
Friday, a judge granted his request to remain free on bond while he appeals his conviction to the state Court of Appeals.
Rasaki’s medical license was revoked after his conviction in September.
