INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Marion County Alcoholic Beverage Board denied the Dollar General store on Shadeland Ave. the ability to sell beer and wine.

The other Dollar General stores that applied for alcohol permits had already dropped their bids.

Some community groups, such as the Oxford Neighborhood Association, had previously argued against the stores from receiving their permits.  The neighborhood association held a protest near the Dollar General at 3725 N. Keystone Ave. back in May to fight against that store’s requested permit.
