INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A house and car were damaged after downed power lines sparked a fire Friday afternoon in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Fire Department was called to a house in the 5100 block of Rosslyn Avenue at about 5:20 p.m. Friday. Firefighters found smoke and flames, but they were able to bring the fire under control in 15 minutes.

IFD said storm-downed power lines that remained energized were to blame for the fire. Damage was estimated at $25,000. No injuries were reported.
