INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Rock Bottom Brewery was robbed of over $2,000 early Tuesday morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers say a man came through the back door of the restaurant, located on Washington Street. He entered the manager's office and told the woman that he was there to pick up paper work. The manager knew the man was not supposed to be there.
The man reportedly flashed the manager a gun, and the manager was forced to hand over the cash. The suspect stuffed the money into the apron he was wearing.
The suspect then ripped a telephone off the wall and pointed a gun at the manager, telling her to "get on the floor." The suspect then left the restaurant.
Workers at the restaurant say they noticed a woman come into the restaurant just before the incident. She asked the employees if the restaurant was open and then quickly left through the back of the restaurant. Employees believe she may have opened the door for the male suspect.
That woman is described as a thin black woman with short hair, about 5 feet 4 inches in her mid-twenties.
The restaurant was closed at the time of the incident and no one was hurt. The victim described the suspect as a young black man wearing a black shirt, jeans and a dishwashing apron. She says he was about 6 feet tall, 200 lbs, with a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
