SHERIDAN, Ind. (WISH) - Duke Energy announced Friday that the company will award $10,000 to Sheridan to attract business.
The awarded money is for preparations for four, 20-acre industrial parcels that will attract businesses to Hamilton County.
Work is expected to be finished in early 2013 and will include environmental site assessment, land surveys, and site infrastructure, according to a release.
When work is complete, officials can apply to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation for shovel-ready designation that will make building on the property easier for interested businesses.
The grant for Sheridan is through Duke Energy’s Community Growth Partnership Grant Program.
Duke has offered 28 grants since 2008.
