INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - If you want to cast a ballot before election day, now is the time. Early voting begins Monday morning for some local voters.
Locals will be able to vote a month before election day at the City County Building starting Monday. The City County Building is the only location that early voting is available at this time. And if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of election day, this might be the right option for you.
For the first two weeks of early voting, you can cast your vote from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. during the weekdays. Starting October 20, you can vote from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.on weekends.
Closer to election day, the hours will be extended from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
And if you do decide to be an early voter, officials are offering easy and inexpensive parking.
Voters must have a government issued ID. Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote.
