INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Parks Foundation announced Tuesday, more improvements will be made at Christian Park in the fall. The announcement came during the dedication of a new interactive spray ground and playground, which were installed earlier this year.

The Lilly Endowment Inc. is funding $200,000 for renovations in the fall, which will include two basketball courts and three tennis courts at Christian Park. According to a news release, the goal of the improvements is to provide safety and accessibility to youth and families.

Just this past year, the Lilly Endowment Inc. upgraded 60 tennis courts across Marion County and is continuing to do so with their $1.5 million investment.

The Indianapolis Parks Foundation partnered with the Lilly Endowment, Inc. and Indy Parks and Recreation for the Christian Park project.
