INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Clearwater area has seen some great growth in the last year and now there's an entertainment venue that's opened up just in time for the holidays.

Latitude 39 has taken over the former Clearwater Crossing movie theatre. The management says it’s an entertainment venue that has something in store for everyone. They know their competition is stiff with nearby venues like Dave and Busters.

“Those venues are about games and food. We're about movies, we're about bowling, we're about live entertainment, we're about great food and sports," says General Manager Michael Curacolo.

Latitude 39 says the Clearwater area is prime location for this type of entertainment. In just under two years an entire strip mall has been filled with big names.

"You can't get any better than Keystone at the Crossing — it's a very popular site. 82nd Street is (a) very busy thoroughfare. We were excited once this building came available to us," says Curacolo.

It wasn't that long ago that a lot of stores sat empty in the Clearwater area, including the 56,000 square foot building that used to house a movie theatre. Management at Latitude 39 says they've revamped the entire theatre.

"The only existing part of the old building is our 92-seat movie theater. Everything else has been transformed into a different venue, but we did keep one part of the old building," explains Curacolo.

It has taken a long time to open up as the grand opening has been pushed back, but the goal was to open before the holidays, which they've done.
