INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Monday marks the two year anniversary since the deadly crash involving IMPD officer David Bisard. Family members took time Monday to remember the life of Eric Wells on the anniversary of his death.
“Full of tears. Two years ago, getting word that your child has been killed, stays right there with you,” explains Aaron Wells, Eric’s Father.
Officer David Bisard is accused of driving drunk and crashing into a group of motorcyclists. The crash happened on the intersection of 56th Street and Brendon, just west of I-465. Family members of Eric Wells gathered at the crash site to honor his life.
Wells’ parents, Aaron and Mary Wells, and his wife Luisa were present at the memorial. Aaron Wells began with a prayer vigil at the time the crash happened. Black balloons were then released into the air.
Wells’ family is still dealing with court proceedings.
"Hopefully when this is over with we'll have a little change, even if it's just a little change,” says Mary Wells, Eric’s Mother.
David Bisard is currently on unpaid administrative leave from IMPD.
