INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A suspect remains on the loose after an overnight shooting left one man dead.
Police describe the still unidentified victim as a black man in his mid-20s.
This happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of Brookside Ave. Police received a call that the victim had been shot; they’re investigating whether the caller was also the shooter.
They said the victim tried to walk to a home for help, but he collapsed in front of it. Residents in the home said they don’t know the victim.
A Chevrolet Trailblazer found parked in front of the home is believed to be tied to the victim. Police took the vehicle into evidence.
