INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Wayne Township Fire Department responded to an apartment fire early Friday morning.

Officials say they arrived on scene to the 5700 block of Port O Hope Drive to find fire within the walls of two first floor apartments. Firefighters had to tear into the walls to find the fire.

The majority of the damage was contained to four first floor apartments, but other units suffered smoke damage.

It took crews about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control and no injuries were reported.

It is not yet known how many resident will be displaced due to the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
