MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Wayne Township Firefighters along with Morgan County firefighters responded to a house fire Friday afternoon.
The fire broke out at a home located in the 900 block of North Johnson Road in Mooresville, Ind. Firefighters responded to the scene just before 12:30 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they found a two-story home fully engulfed in flames. The Brown Township firefighters were responding to the TOA fire at the time the fire broke out, so firefighters from other stations were called to help.
Investigation shows the fire broke out in the garage and quickly spread to the rest of the home. Officials say the garage and the second floor are "a total loss." The rest of the home suffered a significant amount of water damage. Damage is estimated at $50,000- 80,000.
No injuries have been reported at this time and firefighters do not believe the homeowners were home at the time of the fire.
