INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Flames and smoke forced three residents to flee their east side home early Thursday morning.
36 year old Tangi Neville was asleep and woke shortly before 1:30 am to use the bathroom.
But what she found was fire around her bed area.
Neville alerted her in-laws, Ellis and Susie Hoskins to the fire and they all safely escaped the burning home in the 2800 block of North Lasalle Street.
Indianapolis Fire units arrived to find heavy fire inside the residence but were able to bring the flames under control within 25 minutes.
No one was injured. Damage is estimated at $40,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Mrs. Neville told fire investigators they were having electrical issues with the home recently.
