INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Five people have been arrested and another is wanted for what police are describing as a two-state heroin ring bust.
Indiana State Police and the Marion County prosecutor’s office announced the bust on Monday. It was an eight-month investigation.
“The investigation led us from Indianapolis to South Bend to Chicago, again culminating in the arrests last week,” Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said.
Officers discovered an estimated $400,000 worth of heroin in the bust.
Curtis Lee II, 37, of South Bend, is considered the ring leader by police. He, along with Johanney Quintana, Jerome Boyd, Darnell Beverly and Nash Garrett are facing charges in connection with the bust.
Police are still looking for Dlon Edwards, an accused co-conspirator. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
