Flight diverted for medical emergency

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A flight headed to Minneapolis was diverted to Indianapolis Saturday afternoon when someone on board was experiencing medical problems.
The flight was traveling from Atlanta.
Indianapolis International Airport spokesperson Carlo Bertolini says a call came in shortly after 1 p.m. for the report of a medical emergency.
A patient on the flight was unresponsive.
That patient passed away Saturday afternoon, Bertolini says. The name of the patient or the cause of death have not been released.
