INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Officer David Bisard crash investigation has had a big impact on IMPD and all the officers in the department. And Public Safety Director Frank Straub made dramatic departmental changes as a result.
Those changes have angered many members of the Fraternal Order of Police and the police union is asking its members to participate in an online survey.
The survey asks how much confidence officers have in their leaders and whether officers believe the department is heading in the right direction.
The survey asks officers to pick one of the italicized answers to the following questions:
- I have a high level of morale and feel motivated to perform my normal job duties: Strongly Agree, Agree, No Opinion, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
- I have the support of my immediate supervisors in my day-to-day job duties: Strongly Agree, Agree, No Opinion, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
- I have the support of the IMPD Command Staff in my day-to-day job duties: Strongly Agree, Agree, No Opinion, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
- I have the support of the Chief of Police in my day-to-day job duties: Strongly Agree, Agree, No Opinion, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
- I have the support of the Director of Public Safety in my day-to-day job duties: Strongly Agree, Agree, No Opinion, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
- I believe our department is moving in the right direction to best serve our community: Strongly Agree, Agree, No Opinion, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
- I believe I am respected and valued by the current administration of the Department of Public Safety: Strongly Agree, Agree, No Opinion, Disagree, Strongly Disagree
