INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Former Sen. Evan Bayh will give the first in a series of lectures named for his father, former Sen. Birch Bayh.
The Indiana University Robert McKinney School of Law in downtown Indianapolis say the inaugural Birch Bayh Lecture will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Wynne Courtroom of Inlow Hall at New York and West Streets. It says registration is available online .
The law school says the lecture series will focus on the issues the elder Bayh focused on during his three terms in the Senate. He wrote the Title IX legislation barring discrimination in education based on gender. He also wrote legislation affecting the presidency and university copyright protection.
