INDIANAPOLIS, IN.(WISH) - A Franklin Township teacher has been placed on administrative leave after he was arrested on a warrant out of Wisconsin.
The Franklin Township Community School Corporation has placed Bob Roach on administrative leave pending a police investigation that's currently under way. Roach is a teacher at Middle School East.
IMPD confirms that Roach was arrested following a "sting" operation in Wisconsin where he allegedly solicited a 15-year-old for sex.
Flora Reichanadter, superintendent of Franklin Township Schools released a statement that said, "Roach's leave is due to an investigation into his alleged behavior."
Reinchanadter also stated that "there is no evidence that the behavior involves students in the Franklin Township School District. "
A message was sent to parents Tuesday, notifying them of the action taken. A statement is also on the Franklin Township Schools website.
IMPD and out of state detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
