Gag order issued in Patton's trial

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A judge ordered a gag order be placed over the case of accused downtown shooter Shamus Patton.

The judge granted the defense counsel’s motion for a protective order prohibiting both sides from commenting on the trial.

Patton will be back in court on August 4th for a bond hearing. He is scheduled to go to trial on October 4th.

Police say Patton pulled the trigger in nine of the ten shootings that followed an Indiana Black Expo youth event. Police have since labeled the shooting, gang related.
