Glenn Beard appears in court

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The man who is accused of killing 13-year-old Jarrell Tucker pleaded not guilty in court Friday.

Glenn Beard appeared at 9 a.m. for his charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

If he is found guilty, he could face up to 65 years in jail for murder and 20 years for dealing a controlled substance.

He does not have the possibility of bond.

Beard will appear in court on Oct. 2 for a pre trial and a trial is scheduled for Oct. 9.

Jarrell Tucker was shot on Aug. 5 and died from his injuries on Aug. 6.
