INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The graduating class of 2012 at Butler University held their commencement Saturday morning.
About 883 students graduated during commencement ceremonies that begin at 10:00 a.m. in Hinkle Fieldhouse.
A release from Butler stated that the graduates included 243 from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, 181 from the College of Business, 179 from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, 102 from the College of Communication, 94 from the College of Education and 84 from the Jordan College of Fine Arts.
The commencement speaker was Richard Stengel, the managing editor of Time magazine.
This year's graduates include 36 international students from 22 nations, 31 Phi Beta Kappa inductees and 242 students who studied abroad, according to the release.
