Home burns, family escapes safely

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A family of three escaped a burning home safely late Friday night.

According to a release from the Indianapolis Fire Department, firefighters arrived to the 7600 block of Fall Creek Road shortly before 11 p.m. to find smoke showing from a residence.

Firefighters were able to control the fire within 25 minutes. However, the fire left about $20,000 worth of damage.

A couple, their son, and their dog all escaped the home safely. The family will stay with relatives.
