INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Firefighters responded to a burning house in Wayne Township Tuesday morning after multiple people called emergency officials to report it.

The fire was at a home in the 6600 block of Rockville Road, according to Wayne Township Fire Department officials.

The homeowner, who got out safely, said he heard a popping noise before seeing smoke.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within about 15 minutes, but the home still suffered about $50,000 in damages.

No one was injured as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
