INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to an accident Wednesday morning involving three vehicles and drivers trapped inside.
Crews were dispatched just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to the area of 16th Street and Central Avenue where three vehicles were involved in an accident.
The driver of a black Mitsubishi was checked out at the scene and released.
A 36-year-old man, who was driving a Dodge Ram, was removed from his truck on a backboard and was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in good condition.
The third vehicle involved had a husband and wife, both 64, inside. The two needed to be extricated from the vehicle and were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in good condition.
The accident is under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
