INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A husband and wife were sent to the hospital Sunday after a trailer fire occurred on the 1400 block of Little Piney Way.

The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the home just before 3 p.m. When crews arrived they found a standard stationary mobile home had caught fire.

Fire crews say when the occupant noticed there was a fire she has to pass by it to get to her husband, who is in a wheelchair.

They were both taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

The fire is currently under investigation.

The home suffered extensive damage. There were no working smoke detectors inside.
