IFD battles heavy fire at vacant home

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Fire Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Madeira Street in response to a residence fire just before 12:30 a.m.
Firefighters say there was heavy smoke and fire showing upon arrival. IFD was able to bring the fire under control within 45 minutes.
No one was injured in the incident. IFD is still investigating the cause of the fire.
