INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to a vacant residence fire on the city's near southeast side Saturday at around 2:30 p.m.
IFD crews battled the heavy fire at a residence near the corner of Olive and Orange streets.
The fire started in the back of the vacant residence and spread to the garage, according to IFD.
Firefighters had an aggressive attack on the residence and evacuated the structure as they knew it was going to collapse.
There was a reported complete structure collapse.
There have been no reported injuries. The fire was under control in 37 minutes.
All exposure threats were also extinguished. What could have become a multiple structure fire was well contained due to firefighter's aggressive efforts, IFD says.
