INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Firefighters are blaming a tipped over space heater for a southeast side fire.
Indianapolis Fire Department crews were sent to the home in the 1400 block of Spann Avenue at 4:20 a.m.
Two residents and their two dogs escaped the home unharmed. The residents, both in their 50s, were taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital for unrelated medical conditions.
The home suffered about $40,000 in damages, Battalion Chief Steve Dixon said. It took firefighters 14 minutes to get the fire under control.
