IMPD officer accused of battery, more

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A veteran IMPD officer is under arrest, accused of burglary, battery, criminal recklessness and more.
Details were few, but the incident from which the charges stem occurred at about 9 p.m. Sunday, according to police reports, and involved several victims. John Haggard, 40, who has been with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, was arrested.
The investigation is ongoing, IMPD said.
Haggard faces preliminary charges of burglary, criminal recklessness, criminal confinement, pointing a firearm, domestic battery and battery with injury.
