IMPD officer hurt in north side crash

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro Police say one of their own was slightly injured in a crash near downtown.

The IMPD officer was driving on 10th Street just west of Temple when she was hit by driver that crossed the center line.

IMPD Sgt. Paul Thompson said the officer was slightly injured and was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK. He said it appears the driver that hit the officer's car was intoxicated.
