Man fatally stabbed on Indy's west side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officials are currently investigating a stabbing death on the city's west side.
Officers were called to the 3000 block of Guion Road around 3:30 a.m. after a woman approached police saying her friend needed help.
Police say a male victim, who has been identified as 42-year-old William Taylor, was fatally stabbed by another man early Sunday morning.
He was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital where he died.
Police say it appears Taylor fought with another man who they took in for questioning.
Investigators released the man after deciding the stabbing was done in self-defense.
