Indiana Task Force working out east

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Members of Indiana Task Force 1 have left their holding ground in Ohio and are helping in the recovery and rescue efforts of Hurricane Sandy. 

The 80 member crew consisting of first responders is in Long Island.

The team’s leader says his group is the eyes and the ears on the ground for local and state officials.

”The extent of our activities here is being a reconnaissance team and bringing back some intelligence for national and county officials,” said Chief Tom Neal Indiana Task Force 1

Indiana Task force 1 is working with other tasks forces from Pennsylvania and New York.
