INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - IndyCar, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Lucas Oil are joining forces to help kids at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.

An Indy 500 Soiree is in the works for the Friday before the Indianapolis 500 - which is on May 27 this year.  It will take place at the Lucas estate. The fundraising event will raise money to build what's called a "Child Life Zone" at Riley.

These zones are filled with activities designed to let patients and their families have an escape from the realities of their illnesses. They are the Idea of country music star Garth Brooks

Tickets for the event cost between $300 and $750. To get them, call 317-423-3590.
