INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis airport executives will take fewer overseas trips the rest of the year under a pared-down schedule approved after questions were raised about the former top executive's travel expenses.
The Indianapolis Business Journal reports the airport board has approved 79 trips for the remainder of the year. That's down from 100 proposed by airport staff and executives.
The trips include three to conferences in Canada, the only foreign travel on the schedule.
The schedule changes follow concerns about spending by former Indianapolis Airport Authority CEO John Clark and two top executives. The trio spent more than $67,000 last year on trips to conferences and business development destinations including Brazil, Denmark, Greece, Morocco and Switzerland.
Clark left his role last month after the airport declined to renew his contract.
