INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana Task Force 1 should be back in Indianapolis on Wednesday, after spending days in the northeast helping victims of Super Storm Sandy.

Battalion Chief and Task Force 1 coordinator Thomas Neal said the team wrapped up its work in Nassau County, N.Y. and left Tuesday morning.

Monday the group wrapped up paperwork and rehabbed equipment.

“It has been an excellent deployment mission with an outstanding team of personnel that would make the city of Indianapolis proud,” Neal said in an email. “Each team member stepped up and went beyond the call of duty and touched the lives of the people of New York.”
