INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Red Cross assisted in a Labor Day weekend house fire.
Two people were helped by the Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis following a fire at their home on the 3700 block of Forest Manor Avenue on Saturday evening, according to a Red Cross release.
The home suffered heavy damage and both victims were taken to the hospital.
The Marion County Disaster Action Team was called to the scene and provided both food and clothing to help with the victims' needs.
The Indianapolis Red Cross says that the residence fire is the most common disaster in Central Indiana and across the county.
