INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - After spending six days in West Virginia helping restore power to 750,000 people, 22 members of Indianapolis Power and Light Company have moved on to New York.

Crews arrived to Westchester County to assist with restoration. When they arrived Tuesday, 41,000 customers were still without power.

Originally, one million people were without power in Westchester County and New York City.

Crews averaged 16-hour work days and say this week’s Nor’easter may extend their stay in New York State.
