INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Public Schools police arrested a 16 year-old male Julian Coleman Academy student Tuesday afternoon.

According to a school press release, the student was taken into custody after he attempted to enter the school with 15 small baggies of crack cocaine worth about $300. The arrest is a result of a security policy that includes searching any student arriving tardy to the school, 1740 E. 30th St. The drugs appeared to be packaged for sale and were located in the student's coat.

The student was taken to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center where he faces charges of cocaine possession and dealing cocaine.
