INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Ivy Tech has tapped Michigan college administrator Andrew Bowne to lead three of its campuses in eastern central Indiana.
The community college system announced Wednesday that Bownes will replace Gail Chesterfield, who's retiring, on Oct. 8. Bownes will oversee three Ivy Tech campuses in Anderson, Marion and Muncie. The campuses served more than 9,000 students.
Bownes is leaving a job as a top administrator at Grand Rapids Community College for the Ivy Tech post.
Chesterfield worked at Ivy Tech for 32 years, the final seven as chancellor before retiring in August.
