INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Facebook is something many of use to stay connected, but that connection left one Marion County corrections employee without a job.

A woman who was a youth manager with the Marion County Juvenile Detention center posted this Facebook status: "I worked in the girls unit tonight and was with the 14-year-old that killed her lil cuz … she acted like nothing was wrong and came out cheezn with the rest of the residents. I felt some kind of way I've never felt before. I think ima b working with my first psychopath."

Then, Samantha Brown, who is the mother of the teen referenced , snapped a picture of the post and contacted 24-Hour News 8 with concerns.

The center's Superintendent DeShane Reed said he was aware of the incident and released a statement, saying in part: "The rights and privileges of this employee have been suspended by the court until the investigation and outcome of this matter has been concluded."

When we followed up with the case Monday, administrators said "she was no longer employed."

A copy of the Detention Center staff handbook 24-Hour News 8 obtained addresses confidentiality. It says staff will not discuss a juvenile's performance, reasons for detention or the juvenile's family situation with anyone not appropriate.

The social media policy for Detention Center employees also addresses the matter, saying in part: "Employees shall never post publicly on any matter or issue before the court nor post about anything observed or learned as a result of employment with the court.

The accused worker declined to comment on camera. She was a part-time employee who started working at the center in September. She did contact Samantha Brown to apologize for her comment.
