INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Kaplan College in Indianapolis is dedicating its new firearms training simulator to fallen police officer David Moore.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer Moore died after being shot four times during a traffic stop. Thomas Hardy is facing murder charges for the incident.

On Friday afternoon, Kaplan’s southeast Indianapolis campus will dedicate the simulator to Moore. The piece of equipment is part of the school’s criminal justice program. Moore’s family and IMPD Chief Paul Ciesielski were expected to attend the dedication.

The training simulator helps improve judgment during stressful situations, the college says.
