INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - We are starting to see signs of the changing seasons at the Flower and Patio Show at the State Fairgrounds and around your yards.

The folks with Frazee Gardens says there are things you can do to make sure your perennials grow strong this spring and into summer. Feeding them early is good. They say not to just dump it on the center of the plant, you should spread it out all around the plant.

Country Gardens Landscaping says you can take some steps to ensure you grass stays green this year.

"After the last freeze start throwing the seed down do that kind of stuff to get your yard up and going again. The thing is you don’t want to use weed control for about three weeks," Steve Tillman of Country Gardens Landscaping said Sunday

Tillman says that the weed control will do its job if combined with grass seed and kill what you lay down.
