Knight's ex-players hoping for reunion at Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Bob Knight and about three dozen of his former players are enjoying a weekend reunion in Indianapolis. Some think it's time for similar event in Bloomington — with Knight.

Knight is trying to raise money for the athletic department at Marian University. Former Indiana player Steve Downing is the school's athletic director. About a couple of hundred fans paid $75 each to have mementoes signed by the former Indiana coach and his ex-players.

What it would take to get Knight back to the Bloomington campus more than a decade since his firing? It depends on who's talking.

Scott May says a gesture such as renaming Assembly Hall the Bob Knight Center might finally persuade the man who won three national championships to return.
