INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A home was completely destroyed on the west side of Indianapolis Friday night after a lightning strike caused a fire.
Wayne Township responded to Farley Circle just south of 10th Street to the report of a fire.
The homeowner reportedly heard a pop noise in the home. A neighbor ran over to alert the owner that the residence was on fire.
Flooding from the night's storms delayed fire crews' response to the fire. The flames were put out, but the home was completely destroyed.
There were no reported injuries.
