INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Threat of snow Thursday had Indianapolis UPS drivers preparing for extra challenges during the busiest day in the company's history.
Workers at the UPS facility on 16th Street started their morning with a few stretches and some last-minute instructions. Thursday was set to be the delivery service’s busiest day in its history, with employees delivering 28 million packages in the U.S. That’s about 300 every second of the day.
"It's an extremely busy time, but it also provides an opportunity for the customer to see what we really do during the day, during the year,” said Bill Bussell at the East Center.
Tomorrow is the deadline to ship UPS for delivery by Christmas Eve.
