Locals kick it into gear for Polar Bear Pedal

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Saturday morning marks the second annual Polar Bear Pedal.

Area bicyclists of all ages will join Mayor Greg Ballard for a 12.2 mile bike ride. The bike ride celebrates Indianapolis's connected bikeways and bicycle-friendly infrastructure.

Last year, several hundred people participated in the event.

This year's event begins at the Indy Bike Hub located in the East Wing of City Market. The event is free for all participants.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the ride takes off at 10 a.m.
