INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The man who police say fatally shot his mom after an argument about garbage was silent on his way to court Wednesday.
Eric Bowan, 36, was brought to court in a wheelchair Wednesday in Indianapolis for his initial hearing. When police found him in Morgan County after his mother's death Monday in Indianapolis , he had been shot in the leg.
Police believe he fled the scene directly following the shooting of Paula Day, 54. It's unclear how he got to Morgan County.
Police have preliminarily charged Bowan with murder. Investigators believe the shooting followed an argument over trash.
