INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - IMPD arrested a man in connection with the early Saturday morning fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a man.

The crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. Saturday morning near Manhattan Avenue and West McCarty Street, killing Johnny Parker, 34.

Police worked for almost eleven hours to arrest the suspect, Justin Lang, 24, of Crawfordsville.

Lang has been preliminarily charged him with felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, according to an IMPD press release.

Lang suffered a bruised left eye and a severely injured foot police say is from the crash.

Police transported Lang to Wishard Memorial Hospital for medical treatment and detention.

The police release stated that Lang admitted to detectives that he was the driver of the gray Chevy and that he had consumed alcohol beverages.

The suspect is currently being held on a $60,000.00 bond awaiting the filing of formal charges by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

This is an on-going investigation and more charges are possible, according to police.
