INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating a robbery and stabbing on the city's west side Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 5 a.m., Darrin Beachem Jr., 24, of Indianapolis, told police two Hispanic males in a white truck robbed and stabbed him on the left side of his chest at the Marathon gas station at Tibbs Avenue and Lafayette Road, a report said.
Police say he managed to flee to his girlfriend's house in the 2300 block of Moreland Avenue where police and medics were called to assist.

Beachem was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition.

Police are continuing to investigate both scenes as well as plan to look at the gas station surveillance video.
